Acidic Saliva

Few days ago, I suddenly recalled a scene from the movie "Jurassic Park". The scene is that the saliva from the T-Rex dinosaur seems sizzling when it drops to the ground. It's probably showing that the saliva is either corrosive or hot. And, I assume it to be acidic. I wonder is it because the T-Rex is a carnivore and makes prey of other huge dinosaurs only, and so it should have highly acidic saliva for enzymes like protease to digest proteins. Maybe it is just that the movie wants to highlight the T-Rex "superiority". Or is it just a figment of my imagination and there is no this particular scene in Jurassic Park?
